Film Review #3

02:18:00
Hey guys!

Number Three of my film reviews is here and it is about my favourite film of all time, the German-Swiss-French drama film directed by Christophe Barratier: The Chorus (Original title: Les Choristes)!
Now, you may have already noticed, I might have a soft spot for French films and it may have started with this one.

Film Review #2

00:08:00
Hey guys!

It's been a long time since I decided I would also feature some film reviews on my little corner of the internet but here it is, finally, número dos!

The film I want to tell you about today is called Samba (Original title: Samba) starring Omar Sy (especially known for his role Driss in the film The Intouchables (Original title: Intouchables), which I will do another review about soon) and the award-winning French-British actress Charlotte Gainsbourg.

Something a little different today.
This semester I visit a course at uni called Creative Writing and this is one of the pieces I wrote as part of the course. I hope you'll like it!

Foreign Affairs?

03:53:00
Hey guys!

The topic I want to talk about this time is a rather unusual one for my blog, I guess, but when I was writing about the topic of friendship in my previous post I thought: Why should I not write about this when it is something I think about a lot and consider important? I couldn't think of any reasons, so here we go.

Migration has always exited in human history and it will probably always exist. There have been various reasons for it in the past which are still reasons in the present and will continue to be reasons in the future. To name some: wars - fear of being killed, destroyed homes, no perspective, no guaranteed security, persecution of any kind; persecution in general - political or religious; hunger; natural disasters; no perspective in the home countries - economic crises and associated job shortage.
Basically, the will to survive, the hope for a livable life and the pursuit of liberty and happiness.

Dear Friends

21:39:00
Hey guys!

So this post is a rather spontaneous one. The topic I want to talk about was inspired by a couple of conversations I had lately and a novel which I read at the end of last year. I would really like to hear your opinions and/or stories!

During the last 3 or 4 years my social life has undergone quite some changes. Finishing school and starting university, meeting new people there, being out and about more, leaving my comfort zone more often then I used to, having 'old friends' move out of town for their university choices, turning away from school friendships, developing rather superficial friendships from school into 'real' ones after school, having friends leaving the country for quite some time for experiences that having finished school or being at uni enabled them to do, myself having to go abroad for a few weeks (which I talked about in multiple previous posts) and also making new friends there.

Hey guys!

In this post I want to show you the photos I have taken during my internship in London and take you to some places which I really liked and would recommend visiting in case you plan to come by at some point.
