Song of the Week #10

23:47:00
What?! Number 10 already?

Hey guys!

This week's song of choice is called Warning Signs by Rob Houchen.
He is a musical actor who played the character of Marius in Les Miserables in the Queen's Theatre, London, from 2013 until earlier this year (if you're interested: There are multiple videos on YouTube where you can see him performing live in his role! Definitely worth checking out!).

This song is from his debut EP calles RH and was uploaded to his YouTube channel at the beginning of the month, so it's quite a new one compared to many songs of the week that I featured before. I find that he is a brilliant vocalist and brings the emotion of the song across in a very unique and moving way which I find very calming, too. I don't know why but when I listen to it, I always imagine a performance of a contemporary dancer on stage. Who feels the same?
Definitely check out his channel!! In my opinion, he definitely deserves many more subscribers than he has at the moment!

Simple Skincare Story

17:45:00
Hey guys!

Today I want to share my morning skincare routine with you.
Beforehand I can say, I've never used a ton of products and all of those mentioned below are from the drugstore. My skin is oily and acne-prone which hasn't changed since I was a teenager (and I'm now 23). It never looks perfect, just sometimes better and sometimes like a semi-catastrophe but what can you do?
At the moment, I'm quite content with the products that I use and I haven't exchanged them for a while which confirms my believe that my acne is hormonal and I basically have to accept it. Thank goodness, there's concealer! ;)

To start with, every morning the first thing I do is wash my face with the Clean & Care soap free cleansing gel for normal and combination skin by Rival de Loop. I have tried many face washes before (3-in-1's, ones with beeds, foams) but I feel like this one is the most gentle option which doesn't leave my face tight and totally dried out.

Next, I use the Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water for combination and sensitive skin as a toner on a cotton pad to remove any product which might be left on my face and prepare it for moisturizer.

To make sure that my hands are competely clean (having washed my hands beforehand of course) I apply anti-bacterial hand gel from Isana.

My moisturizer of choice at the moment (in my eyes, the best that I've tried so far) is the Garnier anti-shine mattifying treatment anti impurities which is a sheer blue gel that I distribute in my hands and then all over my face and neck. It sets very fast, feels a little bit cooling and doesn't feel wet or crumbles off as I have experienced with other mattifying skincare products before.

That is basically it, already. From time to time, I additionally apply my bebe More eye cream and any lip balm.

Which products do you use on a regular basis? Do you have recommendations for oily, acne-prone skin? What are your thoughts on these products? I'd love to know!!!

Song of the Week #8

23:55:00
Hey guys!

This song, a cover of Contigo by Calibre 50, sung by LUCAH and Par de Ases, is the song that I listen to day in day out, in the car, on the train, on the bus, in my room...all the time. It's not LUCAH's newest upload on their YouTube channel and to be honest with you, I have not looked up every single word but I think that you can get the atmosphere and the story roughly if you have some sort of language skills in Spanish. I love how calming and harmonic this cover is and have a feeling that I'll never get tired of listening to it, even if I continue clicking repeat all the time (maybe also as part of a sequence of LUCAH covers or original songs)! *insert heart eyes emoji here*
Also, definitely check out there channel if you don't know them yet!!
